It has always been said that the future of a society is forged in the education of new generations. At Colegio San Cayetano, we are clear that we hold the FUTURE IN OUR HANDS. This is not a mere phrase, nor a display of grandeur — it is a reality. All of us who make up this educational community hold, year after year, the future of every one of our pupils in our hands: those of families, teachers and the leadership team.
Since that first school year in 1963, with one teacher and one pupil, our school has been at the service of Mallorcan society, inspired by the Christian commitment to education of the Theatine Order. Our vocation has always been to form persons, recognising that parents are the first educators — that is their calling and their responsibility. The school is a privileged partner in that task, also with a very specific vocation defined in our Mission: knowing that human beings have a transcendent dimension, a complete formation must include instruction in faith, the explanation of the Christian meaning of life and the transmission of a coherent scale of human values, within a framework of the utmost respect for persons, ideas, material things around us and the natural environment.
This website, which you are now beginning to explore, aims to show everyone the effort of our professionals to innovate day by day and their constant dedication to that Mission, the work of our pupils to build through effort, and the responsibility of a future — distant for some, very near for others — in short, the life of a living school.
From its origins, our school has made a commitment to quality education with a special emphasis on languages, and on helping every one of our pupils give the best of themselves. The fruit of this effort is our commitment to pedagogical innovation that seeks to integrate knowledge and experience. Since 2021, we have expanded our educational offer with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, achieving a 100 % pass rate.
We also believe in social awareness as part of our pupils' formation, which is why the San Cayetano Volunteers Association was created. It seeks to raise awareness of the need to dedicate some of our time to those most in need, and to commit to improving our Mallorcan society by collaborating with numerous public and private associations and institutions.
